TG | Members Gift Assessment

May 19th - May 19th, 2018

Spiritual Gifts are about biblical community, "God's action in bringing the church back to being a biblical community with integrity (Acts 2:42-44). By functioning in greater accord with spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12), the church is more able to fulfill the great commission (Matthew 28) for greater ministry to the world. And he'll keep working with us until we've completed the work that he has in mind (Philippians 1:6).

Spiritual gifts are divine abilities, distributed by the Holy Spirit, to every believer, for the common good of the body of Christ.

Here at the Journey we hope to have all our members fill out a gift assessment and add their top gifts to their profile page.

SC | June Child Dedication

June 4th, 2017

Child Dedication is a special time for parents and guardians to publically announce their intention to raise their child(ren) to love God and to love others. Our church encourages parents to dedicate their kids because as a church we want to partner with the parents of our church family–making a commitment to raise our children in light of God’s promises. The Journey commits to support parents through encouragement, prayer, and ministries like Journey Kids and Journey Students as they raise the next generation to love God.

Child Dedications will be held during the 10am service on Sunday, June 4. If you have any questions you can email me llane@thejourney.org.

Laura Lane, Ministry Assistant

He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments; (Psalm 78:5-7 ESV)

TG | Premarital Classes Fall Session

September 16th - October 21st, 2017

$125

Marriage is an important relationship, one that we believe reflects God’s unconditional love for humanity (Eph. 5), and is meant to be a lifelong covenant commitment between one man and one woman. We want to help you prepare for, and maintain, a successful marriage. Our premarital program consists of a series of four group classes. Couples are paired with a mentor couple who will walk through the program with you. The classes and mentoring are open to engaged couples as well as recently married couples.

Register here for Session 2 Premarital Classes (Sept. 16 & 30 and Oct. 14 & 21). The four classes meet on Saturday mornings from 8:30am-NOON at The Journey Tower Grove in Reber Basement.

The cost is $125/couple which covers classes, breakfast, materials, DISC personality profile and mentoring with a married couple.

*Married couples, these classes are bent toward pre-marrieds, but every marriage mentor will tell you that these classes will benefit you greatly for years to come. It is God's word, after all.
